Primed to Thrive allowed our small business to re-assess and rebuild our VR Escape Room party business during lockdown. With the guidance of the program, we were able to launch a new service allowing our business to trade, and our staff to continue working!

The network of people it connected us to was also second to none; I can’t imagine we would have had access to the same calibre of experts and business owners we did without this program.

Primed to Thrive has been fundamental in providing me with the tools and strategies to navigate my small accommodation business through not only the issues relating to the global pandemic, but also the basics in sound business practice and maximising the power of social media.

Wollongong - City of Innovation

In 2019, Wollongong City Council adopted its Economic Development Strategy 2019-29 which included a jobs target of 10,500 net new jobs in the Wollongong LGA over the next decade. The strategy recognises that many of these jobs will come from local businesses continuing to expand and that Council has an ongoing role in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship across the city.

Since the adoption of the Strategy, Council acknowledges that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a heavy impact on our local business sector introducing a period of unprecedented change and disruption. Council is pleased to launch these two targeted business support programs which build on a range of measures Council is implementing as part of its COVID-19 Assistance for Community and Business package.
