Sharing a number of common objectives with regards to championing sustainable technologies and facilitating the export of Australian innovation, we are excited to announce this flagship partnership. Together, our goal is to unite the ecosystem and help contribute to the growth of our homegrown innovation sector.
The partnership will see collaboration across a slate of growth programs and engagement initiatives including the 2022 Australian Technologies Competition — now in its 12th year. This relationship will leverage Investible’s storied history of delivering programs and providing support for tech founders, as they grow their early-stage companies into global technology firms.
Patrick Mooney, Executive Chair of Impact Tech Ventures said: “Together with Investible, our goal is to create, support and accelerate Australian deep tech scaleups to become international companies, leveraging our combined pool of stakeholders, resources and capital.”
“As they say, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, underpinning the value that comes from positive collaboration and partnerships, Mooney added.
The collaboration will also naturally extend to Greenhouse, a new Climate Tech ecosystem dedicated to accelerating the collaboration, adoption and impact of climate technologies on a global scale.
The flagship initiative supported by the City of Sydney, will be a leading contributor to the region’s Climate Tech sector. Greenhouse will leverage the expertise and capacity of Impact Tech Ventures as it nears completion. The physical tech hub located at Circular Quay in Sydney, will open its doors in 2023.
Speaking of the partnership, Investible Co-founder and Greenhouse CEO Creel Price said: “Investible’s work toward Greenhouse is all about designing an ecosystem that’s optimised for growth; bringing together a diverse group of investors, experts, partners, and advisers to provide climate tech businesses with the nutrient capital, talent, programs and community to grow to their fullest potential.”
“This complements the work done through Impact Tech Ventures and the Australian Technologies Competition. We see this partnership as the perfect alignment to help Australian companies reach their potential on a global scale,” Price added.
Aspiring scaleups with a tech-based solution to one of 12 award categories can apply online between now and the closing date of 4 July 2022. Supported by federal government, state government and private enterprise, this year NSW serves as the host state of the Competition, courtesy of sponsorship and support from Investment NSW.
