A New Model in Venture Capital

The idea was simple: build the kind of venture capital firm Investible's founders, Trevor Folsom and Creel Price, wished had existed after exiting their own business and turning their attention to helping the next generation of founders.

Not just a source of capital, but a partner capable of helping founders navigate uncertainty, access the right advice and accelerate outcomes when the path ahead isn't obvious.

That belief shaped a different model for venture capital.

From the beginning, Investible was built on the view that capital alone is rarely a startup's limiting factor. Access to experience, networks, customers, talent, strategic insight and trusted advice often matters just as much. While venture funds have traditionally focused on providing capital, Investible set out to combine investment with a broader ecosystem of support.

Over time, that evolved into a platform that brings together founders, investors, operators and industry leaders. Through its venture funds and the network effects created by Club Investible, founders gain access to a community that can open doors, share expertise and help solve challenges at critical stages of growth.

Fund 4, our third generation early-stage fund, is thelatest expression of that model.

Last year, Investible raised $50m in total, made up of $20m into the fund itself and a further $30m through our Club Investible vehicle.

Backing companies including LumonusAI, an AI-native oncology platform automating clinical workflows and Outlier Space, which is developing autonomous satellites designed to manufacture materials in microgravity. The fund portfolio also includes an investment currently in stealth.

Since inception, our investment philosophy remains consistent: backing exceptional founders early and concentrating on areas where technological change is creating substantial new opportunities.

For the Fund, that focus is centred on three themes:

Artificial Intelligence

Investible is focused on AI-native applications, workflow automation, and model-agnostic solutions. Rather than betting on individual foundation models, the thesis is centered on founders solving meaningful problems and building businesses that can adapt as the underlying AI landscape evolves.

Critical Technologies

The second pillar focuses on critical technologies, including advanced computing, quantum technologies, space tech, and sovereign capabilities. These sectors often require patient capital and deep expertise, but increasingly sit at the centre of economic competitiveness, resilience, and technological independence.

AI Augmented Vertical and Long-Tail SaaS

The third area is vertical and long-tail SaaS: industry-specific software built by founders with deep domain expertise. These businesses often operate in markets overlooked by horizontal software providers and can develop highly defensible positions through specialised knowledge and strong customer relationships.

Ultimately, venture capital remains a people business. Technology changes, markets evolve and investment themes shift, but what endures is the value created when exceptional founders are connected to the right capital, expertise and community at the right time.

Twelve years, five funds and tens of thousands of founder conversations later, Investible continues to refine a venture capital model built around that belief. As the fund continues to deploy, that model is being applied to a new generation of founders building in some of the most consequential areas of the next decade.
