MyRobin acquired by Asia’s leading workforce management platform, BetterPlace

Founded in 2020, and now with over 3 million workers in their community, MyRobin provides on-demand, pre-screened, frontline workers on a long and short-term basis to enterprises in Indonesia.

With close to 200 million frontline workers in Southeast Asia, the market size for frontline workforce management in the region is as large as $280bn, making it the perfect market for a horizontal SaaS offering.

Commenting on the partnership, Ardy Satria Hasanuddin, Co-founder & CTO at MyRobin said, “Over the last four years we have been able to empower millions of frontline workers in over 270 cities in Indonesia to live a life of dignity by elevating them to the formal economy and giving them access to formal finance, jobs, and training.”

Investible backed the Indonesia-based company through our Early Stage Fund 2 alongside members of our syndicate of co-investors, Club Investible, in early 2021. The acquisition marks a significant and successful exit for these individual investors — and for the Fund — in under 18 months since its original close.

The Club Investible model enables individual investors to access individual investment opportunities while leveraging the network, diligence, and portfolio support of Investible. Several members of Club Investible co-invested with Investible’s vintage 2021 Fund, which has now invested in over 22 early-stage companies.

Ben Douglas, an active member of Club Investible and investor in MyRobin, spoke to benefits of the unique model for early-stage investors.

Unlike most of its Australian peers, Investible has an active presence in the broader Southeast Asia region, and an Asia-based team since 2018. The Investible group portfolio — now with over 130 investments — contains companies from ten countries, including Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
