It’s not a traditional accelerator, hackathon or a pitch day. In fact, it’s not like anything the startup ecosystem has seen before. The Investible Games tests 10 startups with 10 challenges over two days, all to help top founders progress toward seed investment. And following successful events in Jakarta, Melbourne and Sydney, it’s got Singapore in its sights.Investible has announced that the Investible Games Singapore will take place on November 7th and 8th, 2019 at LEVEL3 coworking space, with the support of digital analytics platform Digivizer and Padang and Co.The Investible Games is our revolutionary scouting and due diligence platform designed to challenge best-in-class startups toward investibility. It’s a selective process in which the top 10 startups per region are invited to compete – free of charge and without giving up equity. Over the two days, founder teams take part in unique challenges that stress-test critical aspects of their business and receive guidance and feedback from early-stage investors and industry experts.More than 35 startups, selected from a pool of more than 300 businesses, have participated in the Investible Games across Australia and Asia to date. Recent participants include Inspace XR, which develops virtual reality solutions for architects and engineers and has since gone on to raise US$500,000 in a round led by Investible and VAPAR, which uses artificial intelligence to automate the process of identifying cracks and blockages in stormwater and sewage pipes.“[The Investible Games] really give us that perspective of what an investor’s looking for and what makes us investible.” Amanda Siquera, CEO and Co-founder of VAPAR.Each of the Investible Games challenges is based upon the Investibility Index, Investible’s due diligence methodology which is proven to increase startups’ chance of securing capital and reduce the risk of early-stage investments. Investible was among the first money in to Canva, Ipsy and Brandless and its methodology has helped it invest in over 70 companies since 2010 with a 67.2% IRR (compound annual growth return).Investible says by combining its proven founder and business model development IP with access to active angel investors, the event strengthens all facets of the startup ecosystem.“The Investible Games gives founders what they need most - expert feedback, meetings with top investors and the opportunity for capital”, said Mat Cole, Head of Investible Games at Investible.“We give top founders the opportunity to unpack their business model and receive critical feedback – quickly, efficiently and at no cost to them, condensing what might take months into just two days. At the same time, founders get to know investors and investors have the opportunity to look more deeply than decks, video calls and pre-rehearsed pitches typically allow.”The Investible Games Singapore is open to startups that have received less than $1M in funding to date. Startups working across all sectors will be considered.
